War Wounds

February 6th, 2012

I’m very appreciative of the well-wishers who contacted me after my surgery. While more surgery is yet to be scheduled, I’m still healing from the last one. Many women will be familiar with after-effects like weeping surgical sites which leave pockets of fluid where cancerous tissue was removed.

Given the incredibly high incidence of this terrible disease, one can only call these “war wounds”. Women must closely follow the scientific literature which discusses causation and treatments. Tracking the international statistics may also help us to identify clusters and particular precursors increasing risk.

Get your check-ups as early detection is critical.
