Bush donors get chance to Convey Confidence in USDA testing Procedures!

December 27th, 2003

To the Editor,

I am relieved that the Bush campaign staff is serving USDA approved hot dogs and hamburgers to their wealthy donors at fundraising events. Will they or won’t they eat these offerings? I think these business executives and CEO’s should all choose the beef as a vote of confidence in the administration’s policies for the health certification and safety testing currently in place for our beef supply. After all, their companies surely have large insurance policies out on them to avoid potential losses. Any possible cases of food poisoning or transmissible spongiform encephalopathy should be considered an “acceptable risk” in the name of our economic stability.

Of course, they could all bring the unwanted left-overs to their less well-off line workers. They will likely have “dead peasants insurance” policies on those workers which will increase their tax free revenues in the event that the USDA inspector missed a carcass or two along the way…

“Oh waiter! May I have these hot dogs to go please?”
